ഹിറാഗുഹക്ക് ചില പ്രത്യേകതകളുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
ഒന്ന്- അതിന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ ഇരുന്നാൽ കഅബാ മന്ദിരം നേരിട്ട് കാണാമായിരുന്നു.
രണ്ട്- മുത്ത് നബിﷺയുടെ പിതാമഹൻ അബ്ദുൽ മുത്വലിബ് ധ്യാനത്തിലിരിക്കാറുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഗുഹയായിരുന്നു. ഹിറാഗുഹ നബിﷺയെ തന്നിലേക്ക് താത്പര്യപൂർവ്വം സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്ത പരാമർശങ്ങളും വായിക്കാനുണ്ട്. ഇമാം കുലാഇയുടെ ഒരു വിശദീകരണം ഇങ്ങനെയുണ്ട്. എല്ലാവർഷവും ഒരു മാസക്കാലം നബിﷺ ഹിറാഗുഹയിൽ ഏകാന്തവാസം നടത്തുമായിരുന്നു. ഖുറൈശികൾക്കിടയിൽ അങ്ങനെയൊരു സമ്പ്രദായം നേരത്തേ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുവത്രെ. 'തഹന്നുസ്' അഥവാ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ വെടിയുക അല്ലെങ്കിൽ, 'തഹന്നുഫ്' അഥവാ പ്രതിഷ്ടകളെ വിട്ട് നേർവഴി തേടുക എന്നീ പേരുകളിൽ ഈ ഏകാന്തവാസം അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.
ഒരു മാസത്തെ ഏകാന്തവാസത്തെ തുടർന്ന് അവിടെയെത്തുന്നവർക്ക് നബിﷺ ഭക്ഷണം നൽകുമായിരുന്നു. ധ്യാനം കഴിഞ്ഞു താഴെ ഇറങ്ങിയാൽ നേരേ കഅബാ മന്ദിരത്തിലേക്ക് വരും. ഏഴ് തവണയോ പലഘട്ടമോ കഅബയെ പ്രദക്ഷിണം ചെയ്യും. ശേഷംവീട്ടിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങും. ഒരു തവണ ഹിറയിൽ എത്തിയാൽ എത്ര ദിവസം വരെ തങ്ങുമായിരുന്നു എന്നതിൽ വിവിധ അഭിപ്രായങ്ങളുണ്ട്. മൂന്ന്, ഏഴ്, റമളാനിലായാൽ ഒരു മാസം വരെ എന്നിങ്ങനെയാണ് നിവേദനങ്ങൾ. ഒരു മാസത്തിലധികം എന്ന അഭിപ്രായം നിവേദനങ്ങളിൽ കാണുന്നില്ല. അവിടെ കഴിഞ്ഞു കൂടാൻ ആവശ്യമായ വിഭവങ്ങൾ കരുതിയാണ് പോവുക. ഒരു തരം കേക്കും ഒലീവ് എണ്ണയുമായിരുന്നു കൊണ്ടുപോയിരുന്നത് എന്ന് ഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങളിൽ കാണുന്നു.
മുത്തുനബിﷺ ഹിറയിൽ ആരാധനയിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞ കാലം എല്ലാവിധ പിന്തുണയും നൽകി ഒപ്പം നിന്നു പത്നി ബീവി ഖദീജ(റ). മുത്ത് നബിﷺ കരുതിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയ സാധനങ്ങൾ തീരാനായി എന്ന് തോന്നിയാൽ ആവശ്യമായത് മഹതി എത്തിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുമായിരുന്നു. ചിലപ്പോൾ സ്വന്തം തന്നെ സാധനങ്ങളുമായി മല കയറും. വീട്ടിൽ നിന്ന് നാല് മൈൽ അകലെയാണ് ജബലുന്നൂർ. താഴ്‌വരയിൽ നിന്ന് എണ്ണൂറ്റി എഴുപതോളം മീറ്റർ കുത്തനെയുള്ള പർവ്വതം കയറിയിട്ട് വേണം ഗുഹയിലെത്താൻ. ഒരിക്കൽ പോലും പരിഭവമൊന്നും പറയുകയോ പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്തില്ല. സർവ്വാത്മനാ പിന്തുണയോടെ സേവന നിരതയായിരുന്നു ബീവി. മുത്ത് നബിﷺ ഖദീജ ബീവി(റ)യെ പത്നിയായി തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തത് ഒരു നിയോഗമാണെന്ന് ബോധ്യപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന നാളുകളായിരുന്നു അത്.
ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ട നാളുകളിൽ മലമുകളിലെത്തി ഭർത്താവിന്റെ സേവനത്തിലായി ഗിരിശൃംഖത്തിൽ തന്നെ മഹതിയും താമസിക്കും. ശേഷം താഴ്‌വരയിലേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങിവരും.
ചില സന്ദർഭങ്ങളിൽ മുത്ത് നബിﷺയെ ഗുഹയിലേക്ക് യാത്രയാക്കി മഹതി നാളുകൾ എണ്ണും. ശേഷം നൂർ പർവ്വതത്തിന് നേരേ കുറേ സമയം നോക്കിയിരിക്കും. പിന്നെ പ്രിയതമനെത്തേടി അന്നൂർ താഴ്‌വരയിലേക്ക് നടക്കും. താഴെ നിന്ന് കുറേ നേരം മുകളിലേക്ക് കണ്ണുനട്ട് നിൽക്കും. അൽപം കഴിയുമ്പോഴേക്കും മുത്ത് നബിﷺ മലയിറങ്ങിയെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ടാകും. ആനന്ദത്തോടെ അവർ സന്ധിക്കും. താഴ്‌വരയിൽ തന്നെ അന്ന് കഴിഞ്ഞുകൂടും. വീട്ടിൽ നിന്ന് കൊണ്ടുവന്ന ഭക്ഷണവും മറ്റും നൽകി പരിചരിക്കും. പ്രഭാതമായാൽ മുത്ത് നബിﷺ മലമുകളിലേക്ക് തന്നെ കയറും. മഹതി വീട്ടിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങും. അങ്ങനെ ഒരു രാത്രിയിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞു കൂടിയ സ്ഥലത്ത് പിൽക്കാലത്ത് ഒരു പള്ളി നിർമിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. അതാണ് 'മസ്ജിദുൽ ഇജാബ:.
ചില ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ മഹതി മലകയറി മുകളിലെത്തിയപ്പോൾ മുത്ത്നബിﷺയെ കാണാനില്ല. നാലുപാടും പരതി. ഉച്ചത്തിൽ വിളിച്ചു നോക്കി. ശേഷം പരിചാരകരെ മലയുടെ പാർശ്വഭാഗങ്ങളിലേക്കയച്ചു. അപ്പോഴതാ താപസരായി ഒരു കോണിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ആത്മീയ വിചാരത്തിൽ ഉലാത്തുന്നു. മഹതിയെ വിവരമറിയിച്ചു. അവർ സംഭാഷണം നടത്തി മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു.
ചിലപ്പോൾ പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചതിലും നേരത്തേ മലയിറങ്ങി വീട്ടിലെത്തും. കാരണം കൈവശം കൊണ്ടുപോയ ഭക്ഷണം ആർക്കെങ്കിലും ദാനം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടാകും.
എന്തെങ്കിലും വേറിട്ട അനുഭവങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായാൽ മുത്ത് നബിﷺ മഹതിയോട് പങ്കുവെക്കും. പക്വമതിയായ ഭവതി ക്ഷമയോടെ കേൾക്കും. ഉചിതമായ രൂപത്തിൽ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കും...

The cave of "Hira" had some peculiarities. One. If you sit inside it, you can see the holy Ka'aba directly . Second. It was the cave where Abdul Mutalib, the grandfather of the Prophet ﷺ, used to meditate. There are some references that the Cave of Hira showed welcome gestures to the Prophet ﷺ . There is an explanation of Imam Kulai as follows. Every year, the Prophet ﷺ used to spend a month in solitude in the Hira Cave. There was such a practice among the Quraish. .This seclusion was known as 'Tahannus' or keeping away from idols or 'Tahannuf' or seeking the straight path.
The Prophet ﷺ used to give food to those who came there after a month of seclusion. After meditating, he would come straight to the holy Ka'aba
and circumambulate seven times and would go to his home.
There are different opinions about how many days he would stay in Hira once
reached there. The reports say three, seven, up to a month if it is Ramadan. There is no opinion that it is more than a month. After there, he would leave with necessary food. A kind of cake and olive oil were carried to the cave.
His wife Khadeeja (RA) whole-heartedly supported the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in his worship at Hira. When there was shortage of provision she climbed the mountain with necessary things. "Jabalunnur" is four miles away from the house. One has to climb a steep mountain eight hundred and seventy meters from the valley to reach the cave. Not even once did she say or show any dislike. The wife was always in service with full support. These events prove that It was a good luck that the Prophet ﷺ chose Khadeeja as his wife.
On some days, Khadeeja (RA) will also stay in the mountain range rendering services for the husband. Then come down to home.
In some occasions, she would send the Prophet ﷺ off to the cave and stay in the home counting the days. After that, she would look towards the Noor mountain for some time and then walk towards the Annoor valley. look towards the mountain from the bottom for a long time. By the time the Prophet ﷺ will have come down the mountain. They will meet happily and stay there that day. She would serve the food which brought from the home. In the morning, the Prophet ﷺ would go up to the top of the mountain. Thus, a masjid was built later in the place where they spent that night. That is the 'Masjidul Ijaba'.
One day when Khadeeja (RA) climbed the mountain and reached the top, the beloved Prophet ﷺ was nowhere seen. She searched all around.called out loud. Then the attendants were sent to the sides of the mountain. At that time the Prophet ﷺ was seen sitting in meditation in a corner . The attendants Informed Khadeeja (RA). They conversed and went back.
Sometimes he comes down from the mountain earlier than expected because the food he took with him may have been donated to someone.
